Gift Card Exchange Deal Sites = Ways to Save Money or Earn

In this recession-bound economy, it sounds a little nuts that there is a secondary economy for gift card exchanges.  According to the National Retail Federation we hand out on average $145 per family on gift cards.  So have you ever received a gift card that you didn't want or wish was something else?  I know kinda selfish huh???

I can honestly say I've never received a gift card I didn't want!  I think FREE...and I head to the place typically within a couple of days.  Sad, but I don't treat myself out very much.  Anyway on with the story......so if you have gift cards you don't want did you know you can sale them?  If you have gift cards to purchase...hang on to the convenience of the Gift Card kiosk everywhere you turn around and go online and check out some of these sites and buy for less!  Yippeee!

These top three sites offer features that help you find what you want and connect with a seller:

• GiftCardGranny:  As a gift card exchange comparison site, GiftCardGranny is great b/c of the name but is currently promoting deals for up to 60% off, or selling for 92% cash back.  But watch out...b/c current front page deals are mostly in the 15% to 20% range so make sure to search around.
• Plastic Jungle:  One of the most popular of gift card exchange sites, Plastic Jungle is even a little more conservative in its savings this year.  Something is better than nothing so if they have what your looking for consider it but they are lacking in availability for major stores right now and offer about 8%.  I'm sure this will change after the holiday season!
• GiftCardRescue:  Leans heavily toward the seller as a place to get cash back for your unwanted cards.  You'll find mainly restaurant chains around 10% but they do have others as Gymboree is the highest discount of 15%!
